Shanghai Update
Two weeks after I met her, I sent her flowers...
Shanghai has been a crazy trip in the past few weeks. I have been so busy that it has not afforded me much time to log onto Xanga and catch up on some of the adventures of some of my favourite Xangans nor has it allowed me any time to reflect on how things have been.
Things are getting better and better at work. I'm still pulling 60+ hour weeks it seems, but bigger and brighter things are coming our way. And there are so many events happening in Shanghai... It's really nutty.
This is a rundown of what's coming up...
Through the grapevine, I hear LV is having a big party sometime in September. Ferragamo is also supposed to have a party in September. Since F1 is going on during the last week of September (23, 24, 25), many of the car sponsors are doing events too. British American Tobacco (BAT) for instance has booked the entire Xintiandi area (a tourist area of Shanghai). HSBC and CSFB are having VIP dinners and events. Jaguar is doing a couple promotions. Mumm champagne, SKF, Marlboro... All hotels for that weekend are booked in Shanghai, and have been for the last 5 months. It is impossible to rent a limo anymore. Other fashion events include Gucci, D&G and Marc Jacobs. We ourselves were involved with an Agnes b launch event in Shanghai. Over 400 guests!
The Panerai boutique is opening up in Shanghai soon too... If you haven't seen the watch, you should check out the site. I really want one.
Marv and Fred should be flying into town soon. I took Friday and Saturday next week off so I could take them and show them all the fun places in town. Woohoo!
