  • This Friday: Karma at Amber

Her name is Carly Pope.  Since I've been assigned with the task of putting these e-flyers together, I've started to gather photos of women in interesting poses.  I'm also trying to cut down the time I spend on these flyers, unless we're pumping a huge party.  So if you notice, a lot of the formatting is the same except for the girl in the background.  I'm also lazy.

Anyways, tonight is a party at Amber.  BTW, if you have any good recommendations of flyer chicks, let me know!

Nothing really new to write about.  I'm reserved on a flight home for Sep. 22 - Oct. 9.  There might be a huge event that I need to plan for though, it would be pretty massive actually, and if that were the case, I might forgo my trip home.  But  I really miss home.

My writing, I've noticed, has become much more elementary since I've come here.  I'm starting to make spelling mistakes too.  Sentences are really fragmented, almost as if I can't keep my blogs focused.

Two years I haven't been back.  Now I can't speaka Engrish, my Chinese is poor.  Soon, I'm gonna be just plain dumb.

    He speaks so well!

Happy birthdays to Rodger, Marvin, Daphne, Vivian, Yolande and Mom!

  • Shaw Shady

Three posts ago, you got a little taste of adventure from my friend and housemate, Jamian, while he was on a business trip in Manila. Since his parents are in town this week and next (and he thought I was going to be back in T.O. already), I've had to give up my room and find a friend to crash with. My good buddy Shaw has been kind enough to let me crash at his place.

I'm on his I-Book right now, a cool little gadget, but I cannot seem to get too used to this one button thing on the Mac. I'm already a brainwashed MS Windows user.

"How do you open new links?"
    "Why doesn't CTRL + F work?"
    "Where's the right click save?"
    "Save as?"

Damn, I need my hot keys and my right click fix. And you know what, I'm on this strange browser called Safari and it doesn't open the Hotmail page. Fucking conspiracy I tell you that only Explorer can open the Hotmail page. But to it's defense, the I-Book looks real sleek and it came with a 15GB I-Pod. It's also got built in BlueTooth.

While seeing me go through my Xanga's, Shaw made the comment that people that read this must think that all I do is go out and get wasted here in Shanghai. This is not true. Writers on Xanga sometimes tend to weed out their stories to paint more interesting pictures of their lives. It just so happens that the only thing remotely interesting going on here is the random people that I meet and the bizzare China experiences I have every once in a while. There are just some things better left unwritten and unsaid. Besides, it might be mighty incriminating one day.

Living at Shaw's is cool. He has an ayi that makes good food and does my laundry, even HAND WASHES my underwear. He's also got a cute little puppy named Nemo. It's a pug and just fits inside the cup of your hands. Everytime I come home from work, it gets all excited and runs towards the door as I walk it. Since the wooden flooring is kinda slippery, Nemo just kinda flops and slides along his side as he tries to stop.

I've never grown up with pets in the house before (well except 2 goldfish named Tom and Jerry that I always took out of the fishbowl to see them flip and flap on the table - they died very shortly of course). Living with Nemo has made me realize how patient a person must be and how big a responsibility it is to be a dog owner. Nemo leaves little "surprises" for Shaw every once in a while, kinda like a treasure hunt. With my ADD, I don't think I'd be a good dog owner, at least not to attention seeking dogs.

But they're great companions. Here's to Nemo!

This weekend, went to a cool boat party, met a few interesting people. Shaw doesn't go out as much as I do, so this week, I actually spent a lot of time at home. Man did I save some cash. Looking forward to home next month. If I go, it's a 3 weeker... Sept 22nd to Oct 10! Woo woo!

Happy Birthdays to Flora, Tiffany, Lanny, Ced, Carnic, Connie, Emily!

  • Hey Baby Come on Over...

    Our next party...

Yes I did it... Cool eh?

Just want to let you know that I didn't get my ticket home.  Waiting list... my China Visa expires this Sunday, since I can't get home, I have to go to Hong Kong maybe...

So I'm not coming back.  I'm very sad.  Very disappointed but I guess shit happens.  I'm going to get a ticket for mid-September now... Really need to sleep in my own bed.

    Fragmented thoughts... Tired.  Yawn...

  • Cruisin'

I didn't create the above flyer, but that's our party.  This Friday at Fusion Nightclub.  100RMB at door, 50 advance.  Message me if you want to be on guest list for advance prices.  You kinda hafta be in Shanghai too.

DJ Chozi from Taiwan spinning Breakbeats and Funky House upstairs in the Loft, and DJ JR and DJ Fortune downstairs in The White Room spinning Hip Hop and R&B.

Sorry Kirb, you must think I'm a promoter whore now.

My ticket home... I'm on the FUCKING WAITING LIST.

This is another issue all together.  If I don't go back now, I don't think I can go back until November / December?

Had a webcam installed on my laptop recently.  If you don't have MSN 6 download it now, it is so much better than anything out there right now.  And if you have a webcam, we can have online strip teases!  Just like how Sel and I do.  If you ask her she'll deny it.  Females only please, Marv, we're friends and all but don't get your hopes up.

My prayers to those who have friends or family in Indonesia right now.

Happy Birthday's to Melissa, Coral, YaQing, Mignon, Sonaya and Claire.
