Our Sinful Solstice Party last night was off the hook. Considering there were 2 other major parties last night (Pegasus and Fusion) plus Park 97, which always has a good crowd, La Belle last night was bumpin'. Looking forward to the next one next month. Lots of bub flowin last night.

The sad thing about living in Shanghai is that the large amount of people that come and go from your life is very taxing on the heart. I've had real good friends with unforgettable SH memories leave, most people don't last too much longer than a year here. My friend Stephanie (below - far left) just left today. You'll be missed Steph!
My mom called me today. We usually talk about once or twice a week. We usually talk about what's going on at home, life in Shanghai, how my little brother is doing, grandma, her stocks etc. Today though, was the first time she ever asked about my girlfriend situation, or from my explanation to her, my lack thereof. It kinda caught me by surprise because never in my 26 years of living have we ever discussed this. It was at the tail end of our conversation, and the phone card cut us off before I could go into it so I've got about a week to find a girlfriend so she doesn't have to worry about me
It's kinda sad for many overseas girls here in SH. They just can't really compete with the local talent. Back home, the courting process takes a while (at least for me it did). But here in China, there are so many girls to choose from, and they're so free about their bodies / heart, that my friends and I joke about the Rule of 2. Two dates and... well you figure it out.
Watching many of my overseas female friends, they are often having a difficult time finding a good man out here. Many guys are either here for a short while or out to have fun with the easy sleazy. And heaven forbid they date a local SH guy. So there really is not much to choose from out here.

Just tell ur mom u do have a gf.....but she's online..just as real..but very far away. haha This way, if she want to meet her, she can't yet.

hmmm... it sounds kinda depressing living over there... how people come and go from your life. at least you have good friends from back home who come visit you!

Hehe: Well it surprises me that alot of girl in Shanghai are soo..."liberal" about love in terms of being " free with their bodies and hearts".I always figured that Asian girls were much more conservative, with the "traditional" upbringing and all.-well i guess times are changing, so I need to check out the new and improved Shanghai for myself.

Moi? Yes, I will be in Shanghai for a brief while. -Most likely just checking out of the Shanghai airport before I transfer to my home province.
