Robin Laid an Egg
This will be the second time I spend Christmas and New Year's away from Toronto (sniff). I've been slacking lately, and downloading Christmas songs from Kazaa. It started with Mariah Carey's All I Want for Christmas, but I ended up finding all the Frank Sinatra and Tony Bennett versions of Christmas songs. They are so cool. So my winamp consists of a mix of soulful R&B Christmas carols from Babyface to the Jackson 5, mixed in with the sultry Christmas croonings of greats such as Nat King Cole and Mel Torme!
Ah... Mel Torme, remember Night Court and Harry T. Stone?
It's so strange how someone's tastes in things change over time. I suppose some things never change though, Marv your love for Sandy is eternal! But as I slowly combed through Kazaa for it's multimedia greats, my fingers started typing Nemesis, and voila, I have now the latest Star Trek movie in my hands.
But back to my downloading of Christmas music, I'm in such a Christmas mood right now. Shanghai / China doesn't really celebrate it. It is fast taking hold though, all the malls have Christmas decorations up, and all the foreign restaurants like McDonald's have Christmas carols going off in the background. Lots of foreigners bring it to China, and many of the locals know about the fat jolly fellow, but nowhere is it as commercialized as it is in the West. It's funny how critics are so quick to judge it as such a commercialized event. People, admit it, you like receiving presents, you like spending time with the family, you like celebrating with your friends, going through the motions of shopping for presents. I've always associated Christmas as a time of joy and family reunion. Also a time for reflection and celebration. I guess the flip side and pressure falls on parents who have little or no money. It would just break my heart if I couldn't afford a present for my child.
Moral of the story? Be rich.

In that case, will you be so kind and donate to the Blondless and her inner child foundation? hehe
p.s. That's a cool list of singers u've mentioned there. ahaha Although I don't listened to em often, but they are always exceptional in my book. =)

the moral of the story is that you're still carrying that torch for sandy - seems like you've been thinking about her and her facial growth. look, if you want, i'll send her your way for christmas - that's what friends are for. no need for thanks, the smile on your face when you see her waking up beside you is more than enough.
You guys are having a threesome with Sandy??? Ooohhh diiiiirty!!!!
when are you going back to TO? Christmas music is goooood... all the music I've been listening to lately has put me in such a Christmas-sy mood... and I just finished Christmas shopping so I'm feeling all warm and fuzzy about giving away Xmas presents
