Why Aren't You Here?
The hustle and bustle of SH is constantly hammered into my head. Traffic is a bitch, with bikes and cars and buses all scrounging for space on the roads in the city everyone looking to get somewhere as fast as something can take them. Skyscrapers adorn the skies and Starbucks and McDonalds hug every major area of the city. People who have been here for five years or more recount how much the city has grown since they've gotten here, yet I marvel at the rate of change in the city from what I've seen in just the one year I've been here.
But it seems this is only just the beginning. Within the next 5 - 10 years, they are building 8 new subway lines. It really puts into perspective that 10 year project to build the Sheppard line from Don Mills to Yonge. They're also building a Disneyworld, and Universal wants to build a theme park here as well. The government has also embarked on the building of a Formula One racetrack set to be up by 2008. The city is in the process of bidding for Expo 2010. They're building an electro-magnetic speed train from the Airport to the centre of the city - a train that will turn a 40 minute ride into an 8 minute one. David Copperfield was in town a couple weeks ago. So was Les Miserables. And Jay Chou, Kelly Chen, Andy Hui and bunch of other stars are putting together a superconcert next week (yes I think I'm going). And sweet Diana Krall was here (pics to be posted very soon). All this is going on and much much more... which raises the question, why aren't you here?
Come party with me.

Oh, I'd so love to join you! I live right off Sheppard and I'm telling you, it's taking forever. Supposedly it will be done by January but that is an awfully long time. How long are you staying there??
